PROFILE


Knowledge and experience in Printmaking, Drawing, Painting, textiles, mixed media and basic curatorial practices. Seeking collaborative projects and solo projects specially if related to Mexican-American heritage and social issues. Working with topics concerning  migration, displacement and home. Looking to further work experience and open to mentorship. Planning to further studies with a Master’s Degree in Art Practice

15th Latino Art Auction and Exhibit at MACLA, San Jose. Work donated for auction: "Hoverers" pastel on paper. 11x15 inch June 2013


Chicana/o Biennial at MACLA. San Jose, 2012. Exhibited "Homeless couture" hat and dress. Hat was beautifully crafted in the shape of a roof, made out of multiple kinds of paper and the dress made out of "morral" plastic woven fabric  (used for mexican re-usable grocery bags), mocking the superficiality of pricey accessories worn by the wealthy and the shortage of basic needs such as housing and clothing for the poor.

Navigations of the Fantastic, Collective Exhibit at MACLA August 2011. Works shown: Three pastel drawings on paper-Tsunami, Hoverers and Migratorio 40x30 inch. As well as "Displacement Stories" (dimensions vary) an installation of approx. ten paper roofs that carry stories of unique reactions of people who lost their home or were torn away from a space that was dear.

13th Latino Art Auction and Exhibit at MACLA, San Jose. April 15th 2011 Work donated for auction: Fuerza Mayor. A mixed media print on paper (22x30 inch)with embroidery and drawing.

BLOOD LINES, exhibition at San Jose State University. Fall 2008 Works included: Banner of the chamber of the idol, one male and one female. Mixed media on fiberglass 7 ft x 4 ft and Outside the Pool of Consciousness, mono-print and silkscreen on fiberglass. 22x30 inch
